Pakistani Students Formula Car Grabs Second Position in Moscow: We all remember the formula car memes that went viral over the internet in Pakistan after ARY host Nida Yasir’s hilarious interview video. Well, it’s high time we make the formula car trend viral again, but this time not for trolling Nida, but to appreciate Pakistani students for winning an international competition with the help of their own designed formula car.
The competition was held in Russia’s capital city Moscow, and as per the rules, the participants were required to build a vehicle in which a driver could sit. The team from a private engineering university in Pakistan, comprising of 35 students, secured the second position in the Moscow competition, beating 18 other teams.
The Pakistani group consisted of five females and they gained impressive scores displaying the potential of Pakistan on an international platform.
A member of the engineering team named Uzair Mudassir while talking during ARY News morning shows Bakhabar Savera said that the car was a “learning curve for them and they wanted to present a positive image of Pakistan to the world”.
Uzair said that the designing phase of the car was completed in three months and it took us dozens of days to complete the manufacturing phase. The car was made by following the rule book of the competition, he added.
Uzair further said that the next target there is to build a driverless car and a woman in their team is leading this project, adding that the car will take a minimum of two years to complete.
Meanwhile, Saad Ahmed, another member of the team, said that there are two categories of the competition including static events and dynamic events. Through these categories, the judges evaluate our projects and provide scores in the end.
